Stone Types

By incorporating stone into your home, you can introduce colour, texture and style.

Engineered (reconstituted) Stone

9

Engineered stone is non porous, scratch resistant and highly resistant to stains, making it a popular choice for all interior surfaces and benchtops.

Engineered stone contains approximately more than 93% natural quartz, 7% combined bonding agent, special additives and pigments, making it an extremely hard wearing, practical and highly versatile surface. Engineered stone is harder than most natural stones and is more colour consistent.

Requiring no application of sealants, engineered stone is virtually maintenance free and will add value and style to any residential or commercial property.

Granite

Granite is available in both large and small slabs, the coloration of the granite will never change and it will always be as bright and vibrant as when the granite was first installed, if cared for correctly.

The main advantage of using granite is that it is the most durable, long lasting, natural material suitable for kitchen benchtops and bathrooms. Under normal use such as in general food preparation, most types of granite resists scratching better than any other surface. note: There are granites that are soft and are more prone to scratching

We recommend sealing granite which can be carried out in our factory prior to installation.

Marble

Marble has long been valued for its beauty, it offers a unique, classic and upscale appearance as it is often used for wall paneling, as a feature wall, or for elegant bathroom fit-outs, vanity tops and splashbacks.

As for kitchen bench tops clients should be aware that marble can scratch, stain and etch, so it will require a lot of care to keep it in it’s original condition, however it is still widely used for this application so if you decide on using this beautiful product for kitchen worktop you won’t be disappointed.
